Chakras are like the major power centers of your life!
So let's talk a little bit about where the knowledge about the Chakras comes to us in the first place. The ancient monks and mystics of India who were masters of the arts of meditation realized thousands and thousands of years ago that they had within them an entire system of energy that was separate yet connected to their physical body and through the process of constant meditation and inquiry they determined that there were seven major chakras within the body. These chakras are basically energy centers and the word chakra is a Sanskrit term meaning spinning wheel.
Subtle Energy
Chakras are major power centers in the body and connect the subtle energy to the physical body, and have a connection to the meridians, organs and muscles, as well as the emotions and states of consciousness. It’s important that our chakras stay balance, aligned, and fluid because, if there is a blockage and energy cannot flow, it can affect all aspects of our being.
Root Chakra: The color is red and is located at the base of the spine at the coccyx. It is related to our feeling of physical and financial safety and getting our basic needs met. The first chakra grounds us and is our connection to our family and belonging to a group and geographic area.The root Chakra is a receiver for the Earth's powerful energies. Through this connection , the term "grounded" takes on a literal meaning.
Sacral Chakra: The color is orange and is located in the lower addomen (from the top of the pelvic bone up to the navel) and it is the center of your feelings and sensations allowing you to "feel" the world in and around you. It is associated with the emotional body, sensuality, creativity and the drive to seek pleasure through the senses. It is particulary active in your sexuality and the expression of your sensual and sexual desires.
Solar Plexus Chakra: The color is Yellow and is located in the upper abdomen and is the core of your personality, identity and ego. It is the center of your self-esteem, you will power and self dicipline. The energy of this Chakra allows you to transform inertia into action and movement, and allows you to meet challenges and move forward in life.
Heart Chakra: The color is Green and is located at the center of the chest and is the wellspring of love, compassion, and joy. A person whose heart Chakra is dominant is guided more by "heart" than "head", feeling than thought, love than logic.When the heart Chakra is open and energy is flowing freely, you are not only loving to others, you are also loving to yourself.
Throat Chakra: The color is Blue and is located at the center of the neck at the level of the throat and is the passage of energy the lower parts of the body and the head. The Throat Chakra has been referred to as the holy grail of the Chakras because it holds information from all the Chakras.
Third Eye Chakra: The color is Indigo and is located between the eyebrows and is also know as the Brow Chakra.The third eye is also the seat of higher perception, higher intuition and higher knowing it is where you get answers to things through nonlogical means. It allows you to see everything as it is from a point of "witness" or "observer", or from simply being mindful moment by moment.
Crown Chakra: The color is Violet and is located at the top of the head.It gives us access to higher states of consciousness as we open to what is beyond our personal preocupations and visions.The energy of this Chakra allows us to experience mystical harmony with everyone and everything in nature.
BALANCING THE CHAKRAS IN A KINESIOLOGY SESSION.
You remain fully clothed throughout the whole session, lying comfortably on a massage table. I will first be doing certain tests and corrections at the beginning of any session to ensures getting the most accurate test results and effective corrections. These procedures also help assure that the nervous system can process information properly. Checking for and correcting hydration level and switching can restore polarity balance resulting in better test results, reduction of stress and clearer thinking.
Once the pretest are done I will verify if one of your Chakras are out of balance.Once I find a weak muscle confirming that one or more chakras are out of balance, i will correct them using musical note, color therapy or affirmation. Each of the chakras is affected by certain vibrational frequencies, including a musical note or color and also an affirmation.
Chakras Color Therapy and Musical note
Color therapy is one way to balance the chakras. What I really love about Kinesiology is that you can feel and see what is happening throughout the session. So for example let's say that I find that your Sacral Chakra is out of balance.Your indicator muscle (normally the deltoid) will test weak when I place my other hand a few inches above your Sacral Chakra.
The other way is to balance your Chakras by using sound. So with the same Sacral Chakra. we would use the musical note D. This is the musical note for the Sacral Chakra. Each Chakra have a specific musical note.
